Art of Fernando Botero- Its different!

Botero, the Colombian artist once said, “In art, as long as you have ideas and think, you are bound to deform nature. Art is deformation."

I was indeed pleasantly startled after I came across one of the renditions of the famous MonaLisa, by the famous Colombian artist Botero who is famous for his art style which incorporates inflated human figures (It almost feels that one has put an inflation tube on the canvas and puffed up the objects! :))

Anyhow, I thought of sharing the captivating rendition of The MonaLisa by Botero:




P.S. It so happened that I came across Botero's work while I was intrigued by the knowledge that the renowned Hollywood star and Rocky-fame, our lovable Sylvester Stallon painted and exhibited in a gallery which also exhibited Botero's work!
